Training Camps

Bentley at Training Camp!

In 1999 I opened my home to help owners that had puppies with behavioral issues. I was able to bring the puppies into my home to teach basics as potty training, crate training, socializing with my own dogs, plus learning sit, down, off, and come when called. My family thought I was nuts! Well, maybe a little, but the puppy owners loved the idea.

Day Camp

Day Camps are one to two days, with drop-offs at 9am and pick-ups at 2pm each day. They consist of the puppy learning how to be away from his/her family in a comfortable home setting while learning play and socializing. I use clicker training techniques for basic sit and down commands and will start the mecheniques of this process. Drop off times for the Training Day are 9am and pick up at 2:00 pm. Times can be flexible, to a degree.

There was no one in the area offering such a service and it became popular very quickly. Today you may see the term Board and Train used. To me it is Boot Camp.

Boot camps are from two to three weeks, depending on the behavior. Puppies will stay in my home with my dogs during Boot Camp training. Training includes Potty Training, and Crate Training. Plus, they’ll learn to sit, down, and come, and socialize with other dogs and people. I will also take puppies to 1-3 Classes per week to work in a class atmosphere.

To enter into the Boot Camp Program, you and your puppy will come in for a private Evaluation if they are not already into the Puppy Socialization Classes. A time and date will be set up for a one-on-one Training Day with me and my dogs. Price is determined by the behavior.
